Banana Bread (Low FODMAP)

  • 2 bananas (low FODMAP ripeness)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup greek yoghurt
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups low FODMAP plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 100 grams chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 160C and grease or line a standard loaf tin.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.

  3. Add eggs, melted coconut oil, and greek yoghurt and stir until smooth and well combined.

  4. Add in brown sugar, sifted flour, baking soda, apple cider vinegar and cinnamon and mix until a smooth batter forms.

  5. Fold through the chocolate chips.

  6. Pour the batter into the loaf tin and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean and the loaf is pulling in slightly from the sides of the tin.
