Fortnightly Favourites #7

It’s been a little while since I’ve made one of these posts, so Term 4 has started and spring has finally arrived in Australia. We’ve had torrential rain followed by days creeping up to the 40 degree mark, so you know spring is here when that’s all happening. So let’s get into it!

  • I hate to blow my own horn so early on in this post but I can’t help it. I am OBSESSED with my low FODMAP hedgehog slice. I’ve made yet another batch, and think I need an intervention.

  • I have found a new podcast by two amazing women living in Melbourne and I look forward to it every Monday. The Shameless podcast’s slogan is “the celebrity and pop-culture podcast for smart women who secretly love dumb stuff” and I think it perfectly sums up my life. Check it out!

  • I’m really trying to make the effort in the latter part of the year to go back to my New Year’s Resolution and read more, because I used to demolish a book in a week back in school and I don’t feel like adult life is an excuse to quash those habits. I finished reading ‘The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared’ by Jonas Jonasson this week (yes, I know the title is ridiculously long) and absolutely loved it. I’ve been in need of a carefree and funny story, and this delivered.
  • I will admit that I’m not usually one for foreign films, mostly because when I sit down to watch a movie I don’t want to go through the effort of reading it too. But ‘The Intouchables’ is one of the movies I made an exception for, and I’m so glad I did. It’s funny and heartwarming but at the same time, addresses some really important issues. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Have a fantastic week to all my lovely readers, and know how much I appreciate anyone that stops by here xx
